The History of Sky Meadows Ranch

Sky Meadows Ranch is an old Dude Ranch that was owned and operated by Tom and Nita Whited. In the late 1960's, it was converted into a recreational community development. Sky Meadows Ranch is 480 acres in size, including 35 acres of common grounds, buildings, and meadows. The lodge is located in the middle of the common grounds and has breath-taking views of the Cle Elum and Teanaway River valleys, as well as the Stuart Mountain range. Surrounding the lodge is a bunkhouse, swimming pool, pool cabana, tack shed, work shop, garage, and horse corrals.

Sky Meadows Ranch is a private community with no public facilities. Common areas and buildings, including parking, are restricted for use by current members and their guests.

Winter Access

Sky Meadows Ranch is a  recreational community with limited access to cabins and lots in the winter grooming season. Roads are groomed for snowmobiles and tracked vehicles in the winter and passenger cars and trucks are not permitted to drive on groomed roads. Please contact a member of the Board of Trustees if you have any questions on winter access. There is also a FAQ on this subject with additional information

Sky Meadows Ranch Community Club Association

This community is governed by a Homeowners Association (HOA). The elected Board of Trustees direct daily operations of the Sky Meadows Ranch Community Club Association. These Board Members are volunteers elected by the community members. The community relies on additional assistance from members who volunteer their time to help in many different areas. The community does have paid caretaker services for many of the general maintenance tasks related to the common areas and assets. Sky Meadows members are responsible for the care and maintenance of their property and for following the restrictions in the  Legal Documents along with any policies that are in place for the community.

Sky Meadows Ranch Recreation

The 100,000 acre L.T. Murray Wildlife Recreation Area borders the community. This area is one of Washington's most beautiful and scenic areas and makes for hundreds of miles of mountain trails for motorized and non-motorized recreation use. In the Spring, Summer, and Fall, many members enjoy off-road vehicles (ORVs), horseback riding, and hiking in and around the community. In the winter, Sky Meadows Ranch becomes a winter wonderland with about 600 miles of connected groomed snowmobile trail riding minutes from your front door. The roads within Sky Meadows are groomed for snowmobile and track vehicle access to lots during the winter snow season.

Notice to Members and their guests: All activities taking place on Sky Meadows Ranch property are at individual personal risk and the Association will be held harmless, without exception, in the event of any accident.
